Welcome to the first ever edition of Full Moon Reflections, a space to explore, express, and reflect every month, on the night of the full moon. Each month we ask artists to take a moment to breathe, and to utilize their creativity in a more personal way than usual. We ask them to center themselves by observing their surroundings and their states of mind. We like to think of Full Moon Reflections as a way to provide space for artists to pause from the day to day pressures of their creative practices and to regularly gather us together to appreciate art and natural phenomena.
This month’s Full Moon Reflections is a bit of an anomaly. Not only are we finally bringing this monthly gallery to life for the first time, but we at Vacant are doing some reflecting ourselves by publishing this post. We’ve curated artwork submitted throughout the past four months because we feel that our most recent passage of time has been one of great change and growth. Change occurs gradually, sometimes painstakingly slowly, over the course of many full moons, not just one. As this month’s exhibition proves to us all, it is impossible to see the results of change in anything without the efforts of many artists as well. On that note, let’s just say that the change is only just beginning.

Full Moon Reflection 10/13/2019
“During this full moon I was reflecting on my life path and all the transitions I have been going through throughout my life. Experiencing things that seem to be things that can cause doubt I know my true Destiny and life calling requires that I get through this time in my life. I learned there is always something positive to gain from anything negative. It’s all about manifesting your true Destiny.”
